Offset printing is one of the common printing methods in Iran by which a certain pattern is printed on paper using films, zinc, and plates. The said zinc is mounted on the offset printing machine and the pattern is transfered into paper by special rubber cylinder. CMYK color model is employed in offset printing and every color is printed separately into paper and the color combining is performed on substrates. Some offset printing machines have one single color cylinder meaning only one color is printed at a time when paper is fed. Digital printing is the latest technology in printing industry. The major difference in digital printing is that no plate is utilized in printing dissimilar to traditional printing methods such as lithography, offset printing, gravure, and/or letterpress which would lead to less preparation time and costs. Digital printing processes are similar to offset printing where a thin layer of ink is formed on a surface and then a special drying device fixes the ink onto the surface. This type of printing is significantly different from other types of printing. Some of the differencesare as follows:
Due to leaving out the lithographic procedures, digital printing has become a shorter process.
In digital printing, printing costs are not dependent on the amount of printing and they are fixedamounts for each printed card.
Amount of waste material is less in comparison because the need for achieving certain color and printing adjustments is eliminated.
Digital printing can produce different images and texts in every run since no plate is involved in this typeof printing.

Flexography printing is onetypeof relief printing in which the rubber gravure containing the pattern is in direct contact with the materials to be printed. This printing method is known as flexo because of the utilization of flexible rubbergravure. Flexography printing is used for printing on nylon. Flexo is mainly used for packaging services. This type of printing,being one of relief printing methods, is suitable for printing on films, plastic, cellophane, paper, and cardboard.When printing on plastic cardboards, cellophane or any transparent surfaces, white ink can be applied locally on demands.
